prophetic win? or just lucky mishap?

once again the Las Angeles Lakers haved become the NBA Champions giving them 15 NBA Championships in Franchise history putting them one game behind the Celtics who have 16 Championships in game seven Kobe Bryant had 23 points, 15 rebounds, and 2 assists but in game seven Kobe wasnt alone RonArtest knocked down a very important 3 putting them up by six with about 40 seconds left and vujacic who came into the game knocking down to free throws making the score 79-83 also Derek Fisher had 10 points, and 2 assists. and Kobe Bryants "wing man" Pau Gasol had 19 points, 18 rebounds, 2 blocks, and 4 assists and during the post game show Kobe Bryant said that they "would not have won the game without Pau" bryant now has 5 rings one less than Jordan. can Kobe Bryant win six rings next. as far as that goes i say not with Phil Jackson who is the best Lakers coach in franchise history as for the Celtics go they put up a hard fought series never quiting and forcing the Lakers into seven games however they did loose there still the second best team in the world and one the teams to beat during the 2010 season along with the Lakers and of course the Cavaliers. now that kobe has 5 rings will he go for six? or will he just remain were he is. either Kobe Bryant will be inductated into the NBA Hall of Fame and when he retires he will be missed and Lakers will loose there most important player.

Come back Kobe?

Going into game six the Lakers were in the whole 3-2 to the Celtics while the sixth game of the series is being played in L.A. the Lakers came into this game dominate from the beginning, overpowering the Celtics in every part of the game Points, Rebounds, Field Goal %, the Lakers walked into game six with a certain swagger saying were not going home in six games you'll have to prove you can beat us in seven games. Lamar Odom came into game six with a tenacious attitude telling Kevin Garnett, Kendrick Perkins, and Glenn (big baby) Davis. that it was his paint. game seven is played in L.A. and once again to win this championship with game seven in L.A. they'll have to slow down bryant get big boards and controll the clock and the ball

Bengals Team to Beat or Beatable Team??

After the Bengals went 4-11-1 in 2008 they came back this season restoring faith in all of there fans by going 10-6 and their first playoff birth since 2005 while missing several key defensive players from injury in the beginning of the season. Now with those players healthy and back on the roster, and with there draft picks including Jordan Shipley WR and Jermaine Gresham TE should help the Bengals become a more competitive team in the AFC, Shipley and Gresham will also give Carson Palmer more targets to throw to instead of limiting him to Chad Johnson and Brian Leonard, or the late Chris Henry from last season with his arsenal of Receivers expanding the Bengals offensive should be at one of its best points especially with adding explosive players like Jordan Shipley. while on the Defensive side of the ball the Bengals with have there key players back including Robert Gathers, Antwan Odom, Leon Hall, and Johnathan Joesph, however I am not a Bengals fan living in Cincinnati I would like to see them be more competitive once again and play to there full potential because I always love to see the home town team win. With their season opener against the New England Patriots this will be a real test of the Bengals to see how they've come together as a team and weather or not they be able to compete or if they'll just be another practice game. they Bengals will have to step up big in 2010 and player good in coverage and put pressure on quarterbacks to keep the Bengals from being the cardiac cats again and forcing them to win games in the fourth quarter with the last drive. However i do not expect the Bengals to go to the Superbowl or go undefeated because changes those big can't be made in the course of one off season. But I do expect them to go past the first round of the playoffs. I can see them going to the second round maybe the third round if they have home field advantage because its hard to win playoff games on the round. But the best bet for the Bengals in the 2010 post-season would be to go 12-4 or 13-3 and try to obtain a first round by or home field advantage. Which ever way the post-season end for the Bengals I expect this season to be a better outcome than the 2009 season.

Kobe, LeBron, or Jordan?

i thought i should blog about this because the other day in P.E. a kid came up to me and asked me who i thought the best player to ever play basketball was and naturally i said Michael Jordan then kid said i was crazy and told me that Kobe is better than M.J. ever was then some else chimmend in and that LeBron James was better than both of them. even thought i grew up in the Kobe LeBron era i was alive but not old enough to remember M.J.'s dynasty of the 90's so for all of the "fans" that believe Kobe or, LeBron are better than M.J. i would like to "compare" a few statstics with you. Michael Jordan made a total of 32,292 points over his career he is the thrid leading scorer in NBA history behind Karol Malone and Kareem Abdul Jabbar, he is tied with Wilt Chamberlin as the leading scorer in points per-game in the NBA. now to disclaim the fact that Kobe is better than LeBron in the top ten Points per-game Lebron ranks number 4 while Kobe doesn't rank at all Kobe Bryant has only been League MVP once while King James has been the been league MVP twice in back to back seasons (08-09, 09-10) and there are only 9 other players to do that including Michael Jordan, Wilt Chamberlin, Steve Nash, and Tim Duncan. in his rookie year Lebron averaged 20.9 points his rookie year while Kobe only averaged 7.6 Lebron averages 27.9 points in his whole career. while Kobe averages 25.4 now every bodies argument is going to be well Kobe has four rings yes he does but M.J. has six and he has been in the league 7 years longer than Lebron has so i would hope in thirteen years he would have at least one ring. also Lebron James came straight out of high school and was picked the #1 overall pick and yes kobe came straight out of high school as well but he was the #13 pick behind players like Ray Allen, Allen Iverson (who was the number one overall pick) Stephon Marbury, Erick Dampier, and Marcus Camby. i will end this blog by saying M.J., King James, and the Black Mamba, are all very talented and successful players but as far as these three players come if you ask me it goes 1. M.J. 2. King James and 3. Black Mamba

2010 NBA champions?

going into game 5 the series was tied 2-2 the Celtics just came off of a win at home against the Lakers 89-96 everybody believed that going into this game the Lakers were going to go up on the series 3-2 which would force the Celtics to go into to battle in Las Angeles to retie the series 3-3 when the Lakers are a team who are above 500 hundred when the game to decided the series is played in Las Angeles. Doc Rivers who could be arguably one of the Celtics best coaches behind Red Auerbach led the Celtics into the TD Garden (Celtics home arena) determined to go back to LA up 3-2 the game started off with the Celtics out scoring the Lakers 20-22 and Behind Paul Pierces 27 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists and Kevin Garnetts 18 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 assists. the Celtics pulled off upset 92-86 which will force the Lakers to win a stress full game 6 at home while in the hole by 1 game while the Celtics didn't slow down kobe bryant in any many means they were however able to get more players involved such as Kevin Garnett who had five more points than he did in game 5, Paul Peirce who had eight more points than in game 5, Rajon Rondo who had eight more points than in game 5, and Ray Allen who had the same number of points as he did in game 5 his field goal went from 4-11 to 5-10, i said in one of my previous blogs that the fantastic 5 would have to show up to win the championship an as you can see tonight 4 of the 5 did now we'll see the series play out as it goes back to LA

Northwest High School Sports

I attend Northwest high school in Colerain Township. for those of you who don't know where Northwest is we are sister schools with Colerain. And the past couple years we have been mocked and harassed for our school sports being "below average" well from this past school year i have some facts i would like to share with about our "below average" teams starting with little league. in football the mighty knights (which is owned by my family) had a kindergarten team that went undefeated and won the super bowl, they had a fourth grade team come in second place in there conference and make it to the second round playoffs, they had a fifth grade team (that i coached on) only loose one game ( to Edgewood 6-0) we took first place in our conference and won the Superbowl, we also had a sixth grade who in past years had a record almost 3 to 4 games below five-hundred go to the second round playoffs and came in third place in there conference. now for middle school, the seventh grade football team went 7-0 in the regular season and won there division, the seventh grade basketball team (that my father coached on) went 19-0 (beating Colerain) winning the regular season and winning the entire FAVC tournament, the eighth grade football team went 4-3 taking third in the division, the eighth grade basketball team who won there division and made it to the semi-finals of the tournament went 15-4, and i middle school wrestling we had a wrestler in the eighth grade named Colton Lipps go undefeated and win the FAVC wrestling tournament. now for the High School, the freshman football team went 7-3 taking third in there division the JV football team went 6-4 also taking third in there division. and our varsity all tho we finished 4-6 this we started off 3-0 and out scoring our opponents 119-35 and we were ranked 4Th in the city for week 4 of the season after beating the number four ranked team Little Miami in week 3 14-7 we had one of our linebackers (Preston Brown) get a full ride scholarship to Louisville and out of our 27 Seniors 12 of them are playing college ball. our girls volleyball team went 12-10 taking second in there division. in wrestling our team took third in the league meet we had 4 wrestlers place first 1 wrestler place second 1 wrestler place third and 1 wrestler place fourth, in basketball our boys team went 13-9 becoming co-champs and making it to the third round of the playoffs against Lasalle. our girls team went 9-12 taking third place in there division. our boys baseball team went 12-15 taking third in there division and our girls softball team went 10-14 taking fourth in there division
so for all of those disbelievers in our school sports i hope this post shows you we are above "average" in our school sports

series tied 2-2

So I am a Boston Celtics fan, and I thought for my first blog that I should blog about the fact that behind Paul Peirce's 19 points, 5 assists, and 6 rebounds the Celtics came back to tie the series 2-2 against the Lakers while Kobe Bryant had 33 points, 2 assists, and 6 rebounds the Celtics were able to pull of the win 96-89 now if your a sports fan then you know that when a series is tied 1-1 the team to when the third game goes on to win he series 10 out of 10 times, well as everyone knows the Lakers won game 3. does this mean that they are meant to win the series? after the performance that the Celtics lead by Paul Peirce put up in game 4 i beg to differ i believe that this series will go to the Celtics and they wont become just another statistic. Whoever does end up wining this series will not do it in 6 games with the history of these two dynasty's and the emotion the players compete with i believe this will be a 7 game series. i would like to say the Celtics are going to win the series but i am not a psychic. Rajon Rondo, Paul Pierce and the other fantastic 5 (as i call them) will have to show up for games 5-7 to win this series. and they'll have to slow down the momentum of Kobe Bryant and control the clock to win this game.
